Hi I’m Jeff Hinds, a Kansas City SEO, Consultant a.k.a. Sun Tzu and this is my SEO Blog where I have a collection of articles and resources for my own reference and to share with the search engine optimization (SEO) community.
Like many professors and advertising agencies use Sun Tzu’s Art of War as a guideline for marketing, I have adopted winning strategies and Sun Tzu as my screen name years ago. One of my favorite strategies from Sun Tzu is “hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting.”

With a strong entrepreneurial drive I became a self taught HTML programmer and graphic designer I founded the NetAgency Web Design and Internet Marketing in 1997 which led right into internet marketing. At that time everything was so new you had to learn in news groups, email lists and forums. I developed websites for small to medium sized businesses, politicians and websites for a local advertising company.
As a web entrepreneur I launched a service in 1998 that provided local, state and national candidate’s website services where they could easily fill out a form and create their personal political online headquarters.
My first dive into local search marketing was in 2000 where I worked in internet advertising with USInns.com a Bed and Breakfast Directory. I left the startup company for an internet marketing opportunity with Multi Service which was the parent company to Metropolis Entertainment. I worked as a web marketing representative and promoted to web services supervisor where I implemented email newsletters, search engine optimization, pay per click advertising, email campaigns and giveaways to promote the products, services and website memberships we were selling for online game, niche community websites and music entertainment websites.
While at Metropolis I managed several web site redesigns projects including site redesign and search engine optimization of 80s.com The 80s Server — the biggest Nostalgic site in the world dedicated to the pop culture of the 80s, featuring 80’s music, 80’s trivia games and content about the 80s.
The entrepreneurial drive continued and in 2003 I launched a lead generation website for real estate investors which I continue to maintain and promote as well as develop personal real estate investor websites and services.
Enjoying life in Kansa City, SEO was again my main focus in 2005 as I performed search engine optimization for small and medium businesses ecommerce websites for clients of LaGarde, a major ecommerce shopping cart software developer.
I’m currently providing client services and strategy for small to Fortune 500 companies in the local search space including internet yellow pages, search engine optimization, pay per click and mobile search marketing TMP.
I’m engaged in the always changing interactive marketing space and I currently continue to operate and manage my own affiliate marketing, entrepreneurial and client projects.
